The morning before them shined blissfully.

Axe resting, porch rocking, an old man of age and grey but still springy enough to cut all his own fire wood by hand, got up.

He creaked down the steps towards the forest. Rover barking and jumping with joy.

Morning sun on the trail, The old man noticed a dark figure, Rover barked.

Warning the man he dodged. Rover bit, The creature screeched and ran. Old man saved, Rover an extra steak, both grateful.
