@edbott Is there an opportunity for someone to create a sports-based app that can provide a Twitter-like experience? A Mastodon environment? Something that isn't burdensome to use like Facebook? Something that doesn't require you to provide personal data, that will be stolen, to use? There are options, but none offer the kind of instant information and dialogue quite like Twitter has offered.

@kevingamin @jeffjarvis I see efforts to equate free speech to paid speech under the guise of protecting speech. Want free speech, well pay for it. Kind of like poll taxes used to protect the privilege of voting.

@edbott How much more evidence do we need that Musk wants Twitter to be a paid speech/payments platform? Free speech doesn't make $ so why enforce standards or protect users from threats? I am narrowing my use to Twitter for sports only and emergency news.
