It’s wrong to be dismissive. Hiding something shameful is now, and will likely always be, a critical element of privacy. I agree that it’s not the whole story (or perhaps even the most important part) but it’s certainly the part that people many people spend the most time thinking about.
Yeah, that’s a pretty strong line, plus you could keep going with ever more disturbing questions.
I use syncthing, it’s awesome and free, and apart from having to stop Android from trying to limit its background power/data consumption it has been flawless.
Pretty good basic intro to dnd healing, but they are sleeping on Bards as healers. They can apply expertise to perception, which more than makes up for wisdom not being their primary stat. They have access to awesome crowd control and support spells in their list. And then you’ve got the glamour bard’s mantle of inspiration that pours temporary hit points and reaction disengage/movement on several people. A party having a large movement advantage compared to the enemies is one of the best ways to reduce incoming damage.
I mean, nothing is stopping you creating or joining an instance of lemmy that has a charter like that? You could very easily never federate the corpo instances. Astroturfing could still be an issue, but it’s likely you’d never get big enough for that to be an issue.

This is very cool, it feels wonderfully forlorn!

Though it does bother me that the debris underneath looks sort of like it’s falling.

100% agree, here's some more departments that you haven't listed but probably exist:

  • Legal, internal contracts, contracts with suppliers, contracts with customers (advertisers), compliance with the laws of many countries/markets

  • Regulatory, compliance with internal and external regulations

  • Procurement, negotiating with suppliers

  • sustainability, there's probably someone in the business reporting on gender balance and environmental impact and a host of other UN SDG considerations

  • PMO, internal project management and portfolio reporting

  • market X, there may be a team of people for each major market responsible for sales, infrastructure, compliance, etc. in that market, in addition to central

  • CI/productivity, there will be some team responsible for reducing costs

  • Product owners, there will be teams of people responsible for arguing about what features/bugs should be implemented/fixed

  • monetization, there's probably dedicated teams looking at (and a/b testing!) new ways to push people into spending money on the app and/or interacting with ads more often

Jerboa is a mobile app for Lemmy!

I used this for my recipe notes:

ingredients: - name : Carrots quantity : 2 units : "" format : grated - name : Curry Powder quantity : 1 units : tbsp - name : Onion quantity : 1 format : sliced

And then use FLATTEN ingredients to create a nicely formatted table of ingredients.
