@beep no yeah like harriet winslow from family matters that makes sense
My brain saw it fit to play a maelle.wav "PARRY IT" at me as a car approached the crosswalk just a little too fast for comfort earlier, so that'll be a cool last thought to have someday.
@eeeps _hell yeah_ +@tylersticka
@reconbot Ah, and the rings/hand were from https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/game/link-s-ultrahand I think. Shirts and chainmail were bought straight-up. I wish the hell I'd kept patterns for the leather.
Link’s Ultrahand TOTK

This is a digital 3D printable model of Link’s Ultrahand from the new game, Legends of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. The hand is fully wearable and perfect for cosplay! You can print the model in transparent filament since each piece is hollow at the bottom for optional LED light to achieve a glowing effect. The download contains pieces of the model ready to be 3D printed on a 200 mm print bed and files that are not cut into smaller pieces. All cut parts are placed on the print bed as we would print them to save you time. SIZE At 100% scale the model’s dimensions are approximately: -Width 120 mm -Length 130 mm -Height 400 mm You can scale the model as you wish but we can’t guarantee that at a much smaller size the model will print well. We try to make the models in a way that uses as little support material as possible. This model is meant to be post-processed after printing. This can be gluing, sanding, painting, etc. Printing settings will vary greatly depending on your specific printer. Do you like the model and don't have a 3D printer? There are lots of people who offer 3D printing services these days. Try searching for someone who offers them in your area. This fan-made model was brought to life by 3Demon. We are a group of modeling and 3d printing enthusiasts based in Prague, Czech Republic. We’ve been making 3D printable models for more than a decade. We make a lot of cosplay accessories but we also make all sorts of interesting 3D models.

Cults 3D

@reconbot Don't really have any in-progress of the leatherwork, but some of the 3D-printed Zonai cell thing are in this thread: https://front-end.social/@Wilto/110775117705590090

That was https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6065916, but with the "eye" at the top drilled out and a standalone green LED wedged in there behind a scuffed plastic lens.

@tylersticka this was a halloween costume that i started in july, as normal people definitely do
For the newcomers:
Oh, don't act like your basement workbench isn't beat to hell and stained with leather dye from that time you spent months working on incredibly detailed Tears of the Kingdom cosplay.
Listen, there are a couple things I miss about having an iPhone, but it's hard to argue with a literal five minute screen replacement on this Fairphone joint.
I'm on my third "I am a professional writer" parenthetical and counting, for anyone keeping score.
