The good news is that if you have 3 or more lightbulbs, they actually run as a complete Mongo cluster (*), with eventual consistency guaranteed. You may observe some flickering while data changes propagate.
(*) If all 3 are turned on at the same time. If any are turned off, your home network fills up with warning messages.
