@gamingonlinux I'm in agreement that you should play a game how ever you like, as someone that uses save states to complete a lot of emulated games where the extreme difficulty was left over from arcades and the like.

That said, sometimes to keep some level of tension I make special rules for myself for when I'm allowed to save. Like "Only at health stations" or "Only at beds" depending on the game.

@gamingonlinux I'm here but right now my favorite shitposters and politics posters aren't moving over. Its mostly just cats, gaming, programmers, and Linux. Which is nice but it means I now just check both Twitter and Mastodon.

I wonder how we'd get them to move over.

@evilcookies98 The first season was great, but it kind of spins its wheels after and I lost interest. IDK if it recovers and has good final seasons but I've heard they're ok.
@MoonCoral yeah that's some massive stretches.
@gamingonlinux His games were always mediocre and I should of had to balls to say so when Braid released before we all learned that the creator was a fucking moron.

@AngryAnt @antonhand Even if the overtly stated goal of Mastodon wasn't to replace Twitter, it functions as one (and to a lesser degree could replace Facebook).

In much the same way I hope Lemmy replaces Reddit.

@gamingonlinux I actually decided to install a bunch of the smallest install and untouched Steam games I own to see how they play on my Deck.

Thus far tried:
Street Fighter 2 (Via Capcom Arcade Stadium)
Epic Battle Fantasy 4
Spy Chameleon
Tricky Towers
Space Invaders Extreme
Geometry Wars 3

Space Invaders Extreme and Geometry Wars 3 were a ton of fun in particular.

Otherwise on my desktop machine I've been playing Battlefield 2042 and AC Origins.

@lindsayellis Literally anyone trying to break into any major industry that doesn't have a way to nepotism their way in TBH.
