I'm really enjoying my time here on Elephant site (service?), and don't for a moment regret leaving Bird site behind. Still, I do feel compelled to give the Butterfly a fair chance as well.

I guess I see it as the same sort of approach I've always taken to various Linux distros -- try it out, give them each a real shot, and see which best suits my needs/preferences.

So far, the Butterfly has yet to impress me, or provide anything the Elephant doesn't already offer (or even do better). Hmm...

I need a fix of some new tunes. I wonder if there's any interesting #music out there that's some kind of fusion of #CaravanPlace and #TheBlackKeys.
While I'm at it, I should also see whether #chiptune #jazz is a thing.
Time to spend a day or two digging through the crazier corners of the internet... Not that it'll be an entirely unfamiliar road to travel. XD

Hell, if I fail, at least I'll probably end up discovering something else interesting along the way.

I wonder if I'll ever break free of the habit of taking a (quite poor) algorithm for granted, and start remembering to employ hashtags.
Let's walk that Yellow Brick Elephant, Dorothy. I'm pretty sure we're not in Musk Land anymore.

I jest, of course. I like that I can help him enjoy what little free time the guy has, and am having fun as well.

...god DAMN, the teasing I'm getting from friends though. XD

Also enjoying getting to flex a bit in front of him -- within the first couple of hours learning the ropes in solo matches, I was placing 1st fairly regularly. And I still haven't used the 'build' mechanic yet.

Thank you, Apex. You've granted me a valuable skillset. :3

My roommate's brother finally convinced me to play Fortnite with him. A combination of my fondness for the guy and his lack of anyone he knows being willing to to play with him wore me down. (Having the option to play as Solid Snake helped. I'm a sucker for everything Metal Gear.)

My fondness for the guy has since dwindled slightly. Why? Because I now like playing Fortnite, and must face the associated stigma... and it's all his fault. XD

Apparently it's a very dated, super low budget spec phone that was released by Chinese company 'Nuu', ages ago.
The guts were yanked out and placed into an all metal, fully sealed, Omnipod branded frame. Amusingly, they left the camera hardware attached, despite it being inaccessible in software.
My need to tinker with this thing is STRONG. Unfortunately, that's not really an option. I don't want to potentially fuck up something designed to keep me alive.

Getting set up for an insulin pump. I think the most amusing part of it all is, the controller for the system is dead-ass an incredibly old, repurposed Android phone, running AN OLDER VERSION OF ANDROID THAN THE PHONE ORIGINALLY CAME WITH.

I mean, I get it. The same thing is often done with older PCs in certain settings, for a variety of reasons. But, wow. Interesting way to go about things in this sort of case.

I went to the kitchen and forgot what I was going to do in there by the time I got there.
I went back to my room, sat down, thought to post something, but... forgot what it was in the short span of time it took for me to grab my phone, unlock it, and open the app.

Jeezus... hello dementia my old friend.

Edit: Added a word. I can speak English, I promise. x_x

YO OKAY NEVER FUCKING MIND no sooner did I post than I'm told S2 starts next month. Hot damn. Guess I should pay more attention.

Also, holy crap. The graphic for the announcement is actually kinda cool? Maybe it'll slide back into that vibe the early parts of S1 had? I'm all for that. I (rather unexpectedly) liked that aspect of the show.

The best part? I watched S1 just recently, so I probably won't have to review in order to feel 'caught up'.

Yeah, episode one was FUCKING RIDICULOUS in what a great lead-in it was. Everything about it was absolutely knockout. Everything after that? Okay, yeah, kinda mid but... I guess I like that? Basic Bitch Slice of Life Teen Bullshit is cool by me. If it's well done, I eat it up. Eps 2 through 11 aren't some epic, theatrical release worthy content but, it's good stuff! It makes me eager to see what's to come.
