A Charles Koch-funded litigation outfit is suing the Biden administration to protect COVID misinformation on social media even as the virus kills thousands of Americans every month.
The suit alleges that by helping social media companies flag misinformation on their platforms, the administration is violating the First Amendment rights of the purveyors of that misinformation.
Wow. Lotta new followers.

Billionaires were NEVER going to make our society better.
Can we learn from this whole thing with Elon Musk and Twitter that all billionaires suck? That we'd all be better off if we just taxed them out of existence?
It took our culture way too long to see Musk for what he really is.
I mean, not only did SNL let him host, Star Trek lauded the man. Star Trek: a show based around a utopian socialist future.
The legal outfit fighting against content moderation by social media platforms is called the New Civil Liberties Alliance.
It was founded by a former in-house counsel for Koch Industries.
It gets ~half of its funding from Koch's network. It has fought against EPA regulation of greenhouse gas emissions, the CDC's eviction moratorium, and OSHA safety standards.

We haven't seen one prominent member of the Biden administration recover from COVID within 5 days.
President Biden spoke clearly today about the threat the GOP poses to American democracy.
It's the right message and something Democrats need to hammer home ahead of the midterms.
The bigger task facing the party is proving to voters that American democracy is something worth preserving -- demonstrating that it can tangibly deliver for them.
There is little room for error. The time for tacking to the middle has long since passed.
