ATHENS (Reuters) – The European Union’s naval mission in the southern Red Sea said on Saturday it had intercepted a Houthi missile to protect merchant ships.
The EU’s mission, known as Aspides, said in a press release that the German frigate “Hessen” had intercepted a missile attack from Houthi controlled territories.
“The action performed by Hessen was effective, avoiding any damage to seafarers and merchant shipping”, it added.
Aspides was launched in February to help protect the key maritime trade route from drone and missile attacks by Yemen’s Houthi militia, who say they are retaliating against Israel’s war on Gaza.

Does anyone else have issues logging in ?
Since a few days lemmy.world won’t let me log in when I’m using a browser on my computer. I tried Chrome, Firefox and Edge including private tabs and without any extensions. I enter my username and password and then it prompts me to enter my 2fa token. When I do and press login nothing happens. It doesn’t say it’s wrong or was rejected. The login button turns into the circle loading animation and then a second later back to login. The weird thing is that on my phone it works using apps like Liftoff or chromebrowser. What am I missing ?
