Marxist-Leninist but willing to buddy up with Progressives.

Wants Oregon, or any state, to secede from the American Union to preserve rights. Never found a time where America was great.

Not using AI is an INCREDIBLE untapped power source! - Lemmy.World

This might belong in some circlejerk sub, but I think it’s somewhat clever. Basically, if AI datacenters get shut down, the power that would’ve been used to generate AI slop could be used for magnificent things. I mean, it’s purely clean energy because instead of using gas or oil, you take energy that COULD be used for something useless and put it to better use. Think of all the applications. - We could power countless electric cars, trains, and bikes. - We could power countless medical devices like pacemakers and defibrillators. - We could power countless lights in people’s homes. All this could be accomplished by not building massive datacenters. What’s more is that there could be countless gallons of clean drinking water used for surgical cleaning and chemistry that would otherwise serve to cool the amount of datacenter power. Think of all the possibilities! If only Sam Altman could understand this…!

One is for Cascadian History [https://lemmy.world/c/cascad_hist], the other is anti-AI [https://lemmy.world/c/fuck_ai], which is dated now that AI is revealed to be a scam. I may need some more experience on Lemmy.

I’m trying to post any comments, but it endlessly loads. I’ll check my internet connection

Thank you for answering. The question was in such a primordial state that I had to post it here, since I couldn’t find many of the words. I have now seen that some branches of Critical Theory have been used to design a theoretical deliberative democracy that could be used someday, and not have as many problems as today. There is also work by very new authors to use Critical Theory to answer “What is to be done?”, which I wondered was possible.

What has Critical Theory actually achieved? - Lemmy.World

I was just thinking about it after looking it up. What has it, in world affairs, actually done? What changes did it make to society that were worth making?

Tried to make a new account, but every sub has a minimum karma limit - Lemmy.World

Sometimes, I’d scroll Reddit because something would link there, but in the case of making a new account, I can’t post anything, even comments because there’s a minimum karma limit on almost every sub. The deal is that Lemmy doesn’t have the number of users that Reddit has. I suppose I’ll make new communities. That’ll help.

Made a mistake in par 2. Should be polycrisis is almost entirely.

Plan after Harris-Walz victory - Lemmy.World

Although it’s a bad idea to do major things over the internet, I want to really test the waters after a HW election. For a Trump election, it would probably be just a massive nationwide riot. After voting, there should definitely be pressure put not just to the D-Party, but the entire US. The polycrisis in almost entirely the fault of the entire United States; there can be no blame shifted to this or that particular candidate, even tho Trump is a piece of shit. What do you think should be done? I suppose there should be a mass strike, but I’m open to ideas. Anything here I will consider in my own time; there’s no point of convincing people of the same point over and over.
