I'm not sure how but this level of wrongness feels like republicans are to blame.
So the absolute best thing I have going for me is my neighbor's cat, who she lets hang out outside in the breezeway all the time. He's extremely affectionate, and has definitely bonded with me. Chill with kids, dogs, adults, but he just hangs out in the breezeway between apartments more than anything else.
About a month ago I put a box outside with a towel, because it was raining sideways and he had nowhere to hide while his owner wasn't home. Technically he's not mine so I shouldn't be letting him in the apartment {I frequently do, guilty is charged}, today I came home the box was there with the most recent towel resting in the bottom of it. An hour later I go outside and my box has been stolen, as has the towel. I'm pretty sure that apartment management is keeping an eye out for him to try and capture him, which truly breaks my heart. He resists going into his home apartment, because it's a little bit loud with the two small dogs that live there and the 4ish women coming and going at all hours of the day. He doesn't go far, but he doesn't go back in very much.
I need to figure out how to adopt this cat, ASAP, because he has been better for my mental health than anything else in my life, and I truly do love him.
Selfie, eye contact.
Squared off my beard a little and am feeling a lot less disheveled.
