I thought I had a problem with either my mirrors, alignment, or (god forbid) the tube. While I did find a dirty mirror and needed to tweak the alignment my main problem was I had set the frequency to the wrong value in VisiCut
Turns out, even in CO2 tubes you can adjust the frequency apart from the Speed and Power values.

Its pretty crap when it compares to Lightburn but it works and its open source. Since Lightburn has decided to end support for Linux I had to find an alternative.

In case anyone else has a laser cutter that uses a Ruida compatible controller AND uses Linux (that has to be a small venn diagram) there is another program that works that is not Lightburn! I switched to VisiCut https://visicut.org/.
Finally got around to making a filament guide for the stupid big roll of ASA filament! Let the games begin!
Gorgeous na Shock!I miss the parallel port. PCs these days should have a standard multipurpose GPIO bus that the user could use to bit-bang various protocols for weird devices and homebrew experiments. Or "Bang-Bus," for short.
