Finally able to increase activity. Walked 4 miles last weekend, including 2 miles at the Dallas Zoo on a perfect Sunday Spring day. Sights included a gorilla (adopting a yoga pose), an ostrich (snacking), a mountain goat (scouting?), & a cousin (adopting a customary pose).
Been away a while. Health, RV, and truck repairs were necessary. Some fun lately though with the roommates. This cutie is attempting to lift a cage door and escape, a procedure she successfully learned a week ago when I hadn't locked the door! She tries every day! Lesson learned!
Which of these does not belong?
1) This is Texas;
2) This is The South;
3) This is SNOW!
Family time at the Ft. Worth Zoo, as well as the ever-popular feeding time.
At the Ft. Worth Zoo yesterday, I have to admit a preference for the large creatures.
The Aussie Exhibit at the Ft. Worth Zoo was not very impressive, but it did have one spectacular and gorgeous exhibit: a Galah which is a species of cockatoo.
A 1963 speech which changed our world. The Civil Rights Act followed in 1964 and the Voting Rights Act in 1965. We should not, we cannot allow these rights to be eroded.
Such a sunny day here in Sunnyvale that I felt it deserved another special plant from the Arboretum. I have no idea what it is, but I like it and hope y'all do as well!
Still at the Dallas Arboretum (where I intend to return on the next 70 degree day for a long walk). There were 12 of these pagodas, apparently related to the 12 days of Christmas. Some of them acted as band stands during various holiday season events.
Not just flowers at the Dallas Arboretum.
