@tracytwilson @CatherineRussell2 That stunning smile! Lovely photo.
@CatherineRussell2 Such a story that goes with the building. It waited a long time to become something new, and in the new they kept the old and I reckon it would feel very doomsday in parts. Thanks so much for sharing that bit of history.
@CatherineRussell2 That is so exciting! Congratulations to you. Gosh, things can turn on a dime, can't they? No question that you'll do a splendid job.
We are at most, a few months away from apps with content and sharing mechanisms just not possible on Twitter or other centralized, closed-source platforms. That's when the momentum will really start to build for Activitypub and other protocols supporting federated networks. We have stop talking about it being a twitter "alternative" and start talking about is as an evolutionary step forward in global social networking. Because that's what it is.
@CatherineRussell2 I thought of you when I stumbled across the four episodes of Salt, Fat, Acid, Heat on Netflix(Australia). Only 4 episodes. Entertaining and enjoyable. Your creation looks delightful.
@CatherineRussell2
Thank you for sharing such a deeply personal view of how your dad perceived the world and the principles he thought important on his journey. Doesn't mean he always lived them, but in some way, they guided him. You can't write that way without feeling it. I'm yet to read anything I find pompous or outdated. We all see and interpret things through our experience of life.

Last night at Blairgowrie Backbeach. No clouds is generally not ideal, but still some worthwhile shots from the evening.

30 second exposure so the people walking around vanish.

@CatherineRussell2 No, no bedtime stories read to me as a child.
I have, however, been listening to your Sam's engaging and entertaining book, 'Evergreen'. So creatively pieced together.
Your interpretation and delivery of his characters brought each one to life in my mind.
I guess that's what well read stories do for all of us, child or adult.

@CatherineRussell2 I reckon your dad understood that 'Little things make big things happen'. His wisdom had him do what was required(duly) and do it to the best of his ability(satisfactory). Gotta respect that commitment.
