Saturday we used 17.3 kW and generated 46.9 kW
Of that surplus, 21.6 went to the utility for credit against our bills later this summer. (The rest for use at night)

They take risk every time they buy
The price could drop 5%-15% before they can resell
They charge a premium over spot to cover their costs
That is how they make money
