Oh, did I mention I'd rather block than get annoyed?

Ten years ago, we started the #renovation of our home. Builders had half the rooms at a time - it was properly cold without central heating, hot water, insulation; and with maximum draughts. And then the outcome was both wonderful and under-budget.

There must be a simple answer, but what's the technique they probably used to measure & mark on a curved surface like this? Maybe fill with water, mark with tape, and wait until dry?

RATIONING OF HOT WATER IN THE HOME DURING THE SECOND WORLD WAR

A man demonstrates how to draw a line in the bath as part of a British Government drive to encourage the British population to ration their use of hot water and conserve precious fuel supplies. Many civilians complied, including HM King George VI who required the baths in Buckingham Palace to be marked in this way.
