Let's talk about something that has already generated a lot of controversy among users coming from Twitter: Mastodon's content warnings.
Respect and courtesy are always good things to have for other people, and we can all agree that a lot of stressful things on Twitter were presented without warning.
Using CWs for things traditionally sensitive to a larger number of individuals like violence, self-harm, NSFW, politics & other related common triggers should be common sense.
