It is worth noting the theory of a “chemical imbalance in the brain” being the cause of depression is now a theory that is disputed by recent studies.

It’s a really good idea to use the “Lists” feature on Mastodon for stuff like this:

I follow a bunch of news that post a ton of content that I don’t want cluttering up my usual home timeline. So, I’ve added them to a “News” list and excluded them from my home timeline. This way, I can either view the list whenever I wanna scroll through the news or even add an entire separate column on the advanced web interface just showing that list with news that’s separated from home.

Only a small portion (~5%) of their bespoke UI code is closed. The vast majority of their source is published.

Nice. I use the mail and calendar features too. They’re also pretty good, I find.
I love the fact that the browser I use, Vivaldi, has a local RSS reader built-in. It works great and I use it heavily for news.
This isn’t accurate. DDG isn’t just Bing. They source results from Microsoft/Bing, but they also have their own web crawler and they prioritize results differently than just Bing. Implying DDG is simply a mirror of Bing is misleading.
