In a country that seems like it’s constantly pushing for diverse representation I often feel like Latinos/Hispanics are left out of the conversation and I’m trying to understand why.

Is it because folks can be fair-skinned and therefore erased? Or because they’re Afro and they’re brought into a “black” umbrella? Does the presence of non-English language keep them inherently othered?
