Throw back Thursday: Earthshaker (Japan)
Earthshaker, formed in Osaka in 1978 and named after a track by Y&T, are one of Japan’s pioneering heavy metal bands. Their 1983 self-titled debut on King Records’ Nexus label, produced by Seisoku Ito, quickly established them as leaders of the Japanese scene alongside Loudness, with albums like Fugitive and Midnight Flight showcasing their mix of melodic hooks and hard-driving riffs.
