My first Christmas as a retired person.
Technically it's exactly like every other Christmas I've had as an adult, but it feels more anxiety ridden and isolated than usual.
I think I'll go see the new Aquaman movie tomorrow... I hear it's quite funny.

The A1C was 5.9, so technically normal if on the high side.
I'm trying to figure out why I have a bottle of 2007 Argentinian Malbec in my fridge.
So, tomorrow at 11am, I get my quarterly A1C bloodwork done.
After 3 months of behaving, keeping my food intake low, avoiding sugars and starches, walking 5kms a day, tomorrow we see if it worked and my A1C is back below 6.
BUT, no matter what, after they draw the sample, at 12:30pm, I pick up an XL triple veggie pepperoni pizza, finish prepping a four layer chocolate cake, break out chocolate-peanut butter ice cream and I am going to go NUTS for one day.
Then back to a more normal diet. :)
