Apple’s new slogan should be “act different.”

Today, we informed Apple of our preliminary view that its App Store rules are in breach of the Digital Markets Act, as they prevent app developers from freely steering consumers to alternative channels for offers and content.

We also opened a new non-compliance procedure over concerns that its new contractual requirements for third-party app developers and app stores fall short of ensuring effective #DMA compliance.

I'm revamping my feminist horror fiction podcast and ask I'm researching, writing, and recording the first few episodes... it just feels kind of pointless. Like cool, I'm doing this because it's content I'm interested in. Will anyone care? Will I have an audience?

Creating things WITH people - either with partners or with an audience cheering you on and communicating with you - is so grounding. Going at it entirely alone is so disheartening.

So I'm gonna be weird and ask if anyone is reading this and finds the idea of a podcast exploring the role of women in horror* content interesting... please favorite this or reply to it. I'm in such a rut and a bit of validation would be really nice.

(*Horror in this case refers to genuine scary horror as well as spooky fun horror.)

We're still a few months away from its October 19th 2023 release, but the first author copies of my next book arrived today!
