I’m definitely more ignorant than right in most cases. Of those I’ve only seen Bluey after a close friend of mine with younger kids raved about it. Mine are grown, so it’s a bit after our time.

While I liked it, I think being a cartoon takes away from it. What made (and still makes) Mr. Rogers so wonderful is that he is a living, breathing, old guy - someone usually intimidating to kids, but in this case a lovable grandpa. He shows the real world, which is instantly relatable to everyone.

I also think this is why Sesame Street works better than if the show had been made in the style of, say, Fraggle Rock. The humanity matters.

Jesus so shrewd knowing he has power over Satan anyway. That’s just smart business!

It’s all a giant psychological tangled mess. They must force it on others, otherwise the truth of their delusion keeps punching them in the face day after day. The cognitive dissonance of knowing you are believing in a fairy tale, deep deep down, is overwhelming and expresses itself in the lashing out against the world we see all the fucking time. They hate freedom because they are to cowardly to enjoy it themselves.

Fools speak without realizing that the rest of society knows when and where they all amass weekly.

This and Sesame Street may be the only truly appropriate programming for children in existence.

Can’t say I really disagree. As an older person with a lot at stake it’s just not bad enough to make the risk worth it (times several million). It is the younger generation that will have to stand up, but I fear they don’t have enough good jobs to make striking effective. I don’t think civil rights style peaceful protest is going to work this time, either. Revolution is brewing and just waiting for the scales to get tipped a bit too far.

You are asking people to choose homelessness. At some point the tide may rise to the point where community support will allow for this, but it’s just not there yet. I don’t know if it will ever be until it’s too late.

It’s a good thing they have all of our voting data and will be able to target conscription on those they don’t like, which is exactly why and how they would do this.

Technology keeps getting better and better; it is capitalism that keeps getting worse and worse.
