Republicans bar three Democrats from committees following their gun control protest on Tennessee House floor

Three Democratic lawmakers who took part in protests on the House floor of the Tennessee statehouse last week have been removed from their committee assignments

Three children and two adults were murdered today in a school shooting in Nashville. Here are the gun laws in Tennessee:

NO state permit required to purchase

NO firearm registration

NO owner license required

NO permit required for concealed carry

NO permit required for open carry

NO background checks for private sales

And the state can preempt local laws.

The NRA is pleased to report no guns were harmed today.

This little girl, however, will need a lifetime of counseling.

On Apr 23rd, the UK government will test emergency alerts, & your phone could make a loud sound, even on silent. If you’re a domestic violence survivor & have a hidden phone, it could reveal its location. Refuge have created a guide for turning alerts off. https://bit.ly/3TwYtBW

Not naming it "Peepsi" is really a missed marketing opportunity.
And there were time I had depression so bad I could barely get out of bed, go to work and come back home and sleep. And even when I didn’t have as much going on as I do now, I just don’t have the capacity to do several activities. I never have. And that’s ok! We’re not all built the same and we can’t all do the same things. Don’t beat yourself up if you can’t keep up.
What can I do? I am a great leader at work and champion my direct reports, I’m excelling in my manager role. I spend every other month traveling out of state to take care of my elderly Grandmother as a primary caregiver. I’m a caregiver for my husband who has MS and help run things at home from afar when taking care of granny. I’ve currently added training for the MS150. That’s all I can handle right now.
I would like to remind everyone we are not all the same. You may see someone who looks like they are doing everything and making it look so easy, but you can’t. Guess what that’s ok. I would love to write a blog and do more public speaking, but I know my limits and I just can’t. I would love to volunteer for charities on a regular schedule but I just don’t have the time.
I also decided to ride in the Bike MS 150 with my husband ( he has MS and has ridden the last 3 years. I got promoted at work so that’s busier than normal, but I’m kicking ass! Overall I’m stressed but still happy. How are y’all?
Wow. I’ve been silent for a while. Granny’s cancer is back and she’s on hospice again (first time didn’t take (( I have a dark sense of humor )). This time is different, she needs a little more care and I’m doing more when I stay with her. I’m still working remotely and my organization is super understanding.
