It seems like the league is moving towards shorter suspensions for non-football related offenses if they don’t result in jail time (which they often won’t because money). This is pretty disappointing and I hope courts start pushing actual punishments for these players that break the law so we don’t have to rely on a corporation focused on making money to dole out the punishments.

Irsay reportedly said they didn’t plan to extend him. I’m not sure if that’s just meant to be they aren’t extending him yet or they plan to let him enter free agency after his rookie contract his up. Irsay also responded after the report saying “We’re not trading Jonathan… end of discussion. Not now and not in October!”
