I was thinking the same. This would probably be classified as EX zone 1 right?
It’s wild how the Samsung Galaxy Note was considered a large phone when you look at today’s phone sizes.
I recently moved, and my now nearest store does not have self checkout. It’s horrible. I spend more time waiting in the line than actually finding my items in the store. During the three years i used my previous local store, I only had to wait for an unoccupied self checkout maybe two times.

In the beginning I struggled with getting the display to work, until I found this forum post community.home-assistant.io/t/…/27 Aside from that, I mostly used the ESPHome website that hendrik in the other comment mentioned. It took a lot of trial and error, since I didn’t know any YAML beforehand.
Using TTGO epaper display with ESPHome

If your TTGO epaper display is not working, it can be hard to find the cause. I made this yaml file that should work. It’s a functional clock. The only requirements are a configured WiFi and downloaded fonts. Then try one of the different display models until it works. Follow the instructions in the file (lines starting with #).
