Everyone at this conference kept invoking loneliness and claiming the antidote was conversation. That didn’t track with my own experience. My most desperate moments of loneliness have been in conversation: on a Hinge date, doomed but persisting as a form of protocol. At a publishing party, surrounded by people who look and talk like me, all of us a little drunk but maintaining our nervous, manic professionalism.

Man rust has so much good going for it. But gawd the lack of semi colon being an implicit return is such a terrible idea imo.
And it’s made so much worse by Rust style guides mandating it’s use. Now I have to make my code less clear to match the style guide uggggg.
I beg of you, if toys aren't allowed inside, at least make sure I'm tied up to a stationary object outside. If you tie my leash to a car and it drives off, well...

Dipped my toe into talking about furry things at work. A coworker asked about the protogen sticker on my laptop and I told them what it was. I didn’t say the word furry but I imagine they figured it out from googling.
