I like how previews for Twitter posts on the instance I'm on still use the Twitter bird as the logo instead of that stupid X.

The only way that a Twitter to X rebrand could work in theory is to have each page as its own subbrand of X, and use the Twitter brand for the feed itself to keep the brand alive. Here's an example done via Inspect Element. Kind of like what Google has been doing with Mail, Drive, Docs, Search etc.
