Why is coal and fossil fuels still used? - Lemmy.World
I thought with the explosion of electric power and windmills and the electric
vehicle boom, fossil fuels would not be required… Yet, a lot of countries still
generate coal and other fossil fuels, is it because there is still filthy
amounts of profit there to be made? Maybe they are just so used to it they don’t
wanna swap to another resource? I thought with Solar panels being massively
produced, it would sell like hot cakes and you’re literally having the power of
the sun in your hand.
What corporation would you want gone COMPELTELY?

What corporation would you want gone COMPELTELY? - Lemmy.World
The worst corp I can think of is Nestlé, these pieces of shit have done a lot of
environmental damage and have been known to engage or complicit in slavery.
Erasing Nestlé is like erasing the infectious boil on a human body. What foul
company would you erase for good and why?

Do you haggle? marketplace, comic com etc - Lemmy.World
Just thought about this question, see I haggled with a stall owner I see every
time at a local comic con I go every year, lovely chap and we always have a
little cheeky back and forth about certain figures or collectibles. What about
you? Did you ever haggle once for a particular thing you liked? Or are you the
straight person who buys it up front? I’d like to know!
What actually came first? The chicken or the egg?

What actually came first? The chicken or the egg? - Lemmy.World
I think the egg came first because in order for the chicken to even exist and
evolve to its current state, it would need to be first hatch only BY THEN it
becomes the famous clucking bird we know and love. Checkmate chicken-ists your
move?

Good to exercise at home instead of gym? - Lemmy.World
So since the last 2 days, I’ve been building the courage up to start doing
exercises. I’m starting with weights that were just collecting dust so thought
“hell why not, never too late to start getting fit” Now I’m being realistic
knowing that starting off you’re not gonna be shredded like a wrestler but I’m
just tryna get leaner and fitter body wise. Is it reasonable for absolute
novices to never go to the gym for their exercise and fitness journey? I feel
like would be saving some dosh even though I could be missing on some equipment
they use there. A penny for your thoughts?
Favourite 90s platformer? - Lemmy.World
For me the nostalgia glasses are turned up to the max for Crash Bandicoot. I
love the character designs, and the music is an absolute bop to listen to. (Got
the first games theme as my ringtone even at 27!) And I enjoyed a good challenge
with some of its levels. The bosses were neat and I thought it was just an
unusual neat idea that you jump on boxes to progress rather than punching a
block for a fireflower. You?
Your favourite season? - Lemmy.World
My favourite season has gotta be spring, here’s why : For me in the UK, when
spring hits its basically a diet coke version of summer, sure there’s some rain
but boy when it’s sunny, then its a great feeling because you’re not too hot and
bothered. Same things for sleeping at night, oh and it’s not so cold that you
can comfortably wear almost anything without being absolutely cooked like an
egg! What about you?

Is worrying about relationships normal? - Lemmy.World
I’ve not been in a relationship for 6 years and to add I’ve never “hit the sack”
with someone. I do speak with friends and peers, but I feel that I worry too
much about finding that someone and losing my virginity. Surely it’s nothing to
dwell on too much right? It’s just a facet of life like driving the first time
or being able to go places?
Favourite Mario Kart game? - Lemmy.World
My favourite has got be Mario Kart Wii, it’s still got a community and I’d say
it is the Melee of Mario kart. Plenty of good tracks, roster and bopping music.
What about you? What is your favourite Mario kart? I know Double Dash has a soft
spot in some people’s hearts.
Favourite Metroid game? - Lemmy.World
My favourite Metroid game has got to be Zero Mission on the GBA. A weird choice
maybe but it was my first metroid when I played the GBA, I thought the music and
atmosphere was kick ass and enjoyed the simple enough controls. For a 3D Metroid
it would be the trilogy on Wii at the time. What about you?
