You know what, we really need a pure HTML/CSS spoiler/content-warn-collapse HTML tag. It's a pretty common function, though admittedly the layout and structure of such things varies from website to website.
... and the thing it solves: activating JS to open read-mores on toot direct links, is moot when the up-to-date instances require JS to load anything (grump) anyway~.
@eevee I wonder if willingness to share screenshot dunks around is dependant on how much a given leftist feels legitimately threatened (socially, physically, infosec...ly...?) by fascists. Pointing and laughing is easy when you think they're a "joke". Even when it gets framed as "activism".
... or it could be a coping mechanism.
@squishfox We'll be honest we don't really like Mastodon's culture of "all or nothing" around CWs. We've been cw'ing stuff like politics or talk about the fires on Twitter, but sometimes it's felt like everything potentially discordant or differing in worldview has to be cw'd, which feels stifling!
That said, kink art is a tricky, but different issue.
