The best moment was when the actor either tells me that they either don't even notice it, or ask me where I put it?
Ladies are actually easier to lav up than guys, because they require less taped and i prefer to toss the cable over the shoulder instead of down the front. Less maintenance and easier for the actor.

Accidentally trashed the XLR jack on my boom pole, while shooting a feature in Florida.
Plan B remedy:
Plug it straight onto the pistol grip and taped it up to stabilize the excessive weight onto it.
And it worked!
