Famine is the coolest looking character in this comic! How does Fujimoto keep one-upping himself?!?!
Gosh, if this eventually leads to Discotek commissioning an HD Ace 2 or Final Stage transfer, I will lose my freakin' mind.
An official Ace '73 translation will be such a boon; the fansubs (even in their recently revised form) are pretty amateurish.
I never thought I'd see the day. This is wonderful! Yay!!!
Discotek is putting out Aim for the Ace '73 and Treasure Island?!?! Huh?!?!
It's so reassuring to hear David Pro's Urusei Yatsura adaptation is not a chapter-for-chapter remake and instead a collection of DP staff-curated stories from the comic. I hope this also means each story won't be a panel-for-panel, ultra faithful recreation. I'd like to think it does!

Like, the framing is not "Suletta grew up sheltered." The framing is "Suletta grew up in a backwater."

Queer people exist in backwaters!

The line: "I guess Mercury is rather conservative" could be read as though its challenging a socially conservative viewer, but I think another valid reading is that it's placating them; queerness still has the potential to be framed as a social excess which only the gentry of this universe partake in.
Quiet, agreeable queer rep (and often the rep is quiet enough to be debatable) being common in modern Japanese cartoons (Yuri, Kase-san, Promare, Birdie Wing, etc, etc) is also making me very weary of whatever relationship the main characters will develop.

I'm sorry, "The writer of Code Geass doing Ender's Game Utena" is not going to fill me with confidence. Every Gundam cartoon from the last twenty two years being bad or becoming bad is also not going to fill me with confidence.

I hope I'm totally off-base though. Please let Gundam fans be happy, they've suffered for far too long already.
