2026 Hawkeye Publishing Manuscript Development Prize Longlist Announcement

The Hawkeye Publishing team and our esteemed judges are thrilled to reveal the longlist for the 2026 Hawkeye Publishing Manuscript Development Prize!

Hawkeye Publishing

My memoir manuscript about surviving a near-fatal attack by my mother as a child, growing up in a cult, and being catfished for 12 years by an online predator has just been longlisted for the Hawkeye Publishing Manuscript Development Prize.

Thank you to the team and judges at Hawkeye Publishing. It’s an honour to be one of the 24 authors on the longlist.

@mojo I live in Toowoomba and I promise, no one here knows what that is, makes it, or eats it (unless it's to find out what the hell the Internet is incorrectly attributing to us).
I think it's time for decentralised Social Media to really take off, especially with the amount of digital platforms owned by US based companies.

World Mental Health Day reminder: don’t sacrifice your own mental health trying to hold someone else's together.

My husband told me AI isn’t smarter than me, it just has a longer attention span.

Can’t even argue with that.

Social Media platforms need to create a short course called "How to identify AI and scammers on our platform" whenever people sign up, but they won't, because that would make them look bad for not fixing the problem. #SocialMedia

I just dropped one of my teenage daughter's friends home after a movie and the first thing he said when he got in my car was, "Wow, a real manual car, I've never seen one before."

Now I feel old.

When someone builds an ad blocker for smart glasses, I just want the option to swap all the billboard ads for something better.

Today I only want to see waterfalls. Tomorrow? Puppies.
