@aab1dh The problem is they will brand one as a defaulter on silly pretexts. For eg. if your name is Raina Ashish Caesar, and if its written as Raina A. Caesar in one of your submitted documents, you are disqualified. That was the kind of nonsense seen in the Assam NRC process

@larissaf There are no RELEVANT documents, because most people (specially the under-privileged) do not possess documents which prove that their ancestors were in India before 1951.
@aab1dh Well, there was an official list of documents for the Assam NRC. There will be one for the national NRC as well, just to make the process look fair. But most people do not have those documents. Moreover, your citizenship is doubted on silly pretexts.

And I don't know what new farce is the GOI indulging in by including the name of Dr Farooq Abdullah in that panel. Do they expect him to attend meetings through telepathy?

@sanjayuvacha Very clear portrayal of why the NRC is a farcical exercise.
From your knowledge and experience Sir, can you think of any situation where this NRC will be exercised pan India, and still its haunting tremors won't be felt?
With my very limited knowledge, I cannot imagine any better consequence. That is why I feel that Indians, atleast the right-minded ones, should boycott the process completely
