What a disgusting turn of events. I can’t imagine allowing a loser like this to tarnish my athletic achievement. You just won the game of your life in front of everyone you have ever loved. The locker room should have been locked down so they could celebrate with people that actually made it happen. One of them put their medal around his neck. 🤮

I was tearing up when the brought out Johnny Gaudreau’s kids to take a picture with the team. It made me think about how wonderful sports and the Olympics can be, rallying family and friends together after tragedy. The catharsis of that win and everyone acknowledging that Johnny should have been there was shattered by this loser trying to experience athletic success.

Live music performances often fill that void for me. It doesn’t have to be a fancy orchestra or expensive venue, my town hosts free live music once a week. The music is nice because it gives you the opportunity to zone out and be introspective while surrounded by others. There is also usually a social scene before and after the set.
