Couldn't resist. Someone had to.

There is a point when your account reaches a certain critical mass on social media where everything you post gets at least 1-2 replies with 1 or more of the following traits:

- Blatant condescension
- Unwarranted rage
- Hostile misinterpretation
- Accusations of bad faith/lying
- Unnecessary "corrections"
- Orders on how/what to post
- "Jokes" at your expense/snarky observations about your content
- Attempts to provoke arguments

It's exhausting. I've definitely hit that threshold recently.

People watching movies: How do they not realize that the eccentric billionaire is obviously a supervillain?

People watching Elon Musk: Rich man will build rockets to take me to Mars lol

It is still wild that millions of Americans routinely fly alternate defaced flags signaling their support for the extrajudicial execution of their neighbors and everyone acts like it’s normal.

Let me tell you why ChatGPT isn't as big a deal as all that.

How many times have you seen a topic on a big site and thought "I like this topic, I'm going to comment on it"...only to find your comment is already one of the top comments?

And the comment after that is "We talked about this 3 weeks, 4 months, 2 years and 3 years ago."

That's all that ChatGPT is...it's regurgitating other peoples older stuff.

I’m ecstatic to share that a talk I proposed for #pancakescon was accepted :-) It’s a great virtual event where each talk is divided in halves: first on something cyber-related and the other half is not. @hacks4pancakes has created something wonderful for the community (also many thanks to the many volunteers!) and I’m honoured I get to play a small part.

My talk will delve into the “business” side of the security industry for the first half, and I’ll touch on personal finances on the second. Talk is aptly titled “Show me the money!” :-)

Really looking forward to this!

March 19th, virtual. See you then!

@XanIndigo “can you explain this four year gap in your résumé?”
“That when I went to Yale”
“Impressive. You’re hired”
“Thanks. I really need this yob. “

"Can you explain this gap in your resume?"

Yes. Life is about more than constant and meaningless toil for 40-50 years and a desolate twilight of failed ambitions. The social contract is broken and the system is a lie. You and I are both trapped in the same Sisyphean hell, where no amount of working harder or longer will ever truly grant the rewards we were promised. The real question is, why are there no gaps in YOUR resume?

“…”

Errr, freelancing. I was freelancing.

Finally, an explanation for bikini armor that makes sense!
