I wish Biden would refuse to debate Diaper Donny until his criminal cases have been heard and adjudicated. There’s no point in debating a rapist, a thief, a liar, a perjurer…a criminal who belongs behind bars…
Here in California we are being inundated with televised political ads. Has anyone else noticed that the “non-Democrats” never include their party affiliation in their ads? Steve Garvey, running for the Senate, calls himself a “Conservative”; Gunderson, running for Representative, is “a small business leader”; etc. It’s almost as if they’re ashamed of their party! All I can say is, they should be, but they’re still Republicans!
Diaper Donny was ordered to pay $454 million in penalties and fines in his civil fraud case in NY. He plans to appeal BUT Judge Engoron has ordered DD to post the fines while his appeal is proceeding…he MUST put up 120% of the adjudicated amount ($544.8 million) and faces over $100,000 in interest with each passing day! That’s a Stormy Daniels check every day! He needs to sell 1,816,000 pairs of his tacky sneakers to cover that tab! Anyone know a big bank looking to loan money?
Interesting…South Carolina Senator Tim Scott has announced he’s endorsing Trump for the Republican presidential nomination instead of Nikki Haley, the former Governor of the state he represents. I guess he’s vying to replace Ben Carson as Trump’s token Black on a potential Cabinet. Sorry, Ben, only one Jim Crow Cabinet member per term. My theory is that Tim needs a new dinette set and is hoping he can score a pricey one like Carson gof.
Why did Tim Scott drop out of the Republican race for the Presidency? Did he just discover he was the only Black man in a party predicated on White supremacy?
In the please-post-something-besides-what-the-Mango-Moron-has-said-or-done-unless-he’s-finally-been convicted-or-is-in-prison-or-he’s-facing-a-new-court-case-and-then-YAY(!) category, AP has released the Top 25 in men’s basketball and the Kentucky Wildcats are ranked #17! Go Kentucky!
Trump can’t help but violate any gag order a judge puts on him. Already a judge in NY has fined him twice for attacking his clerk and will keep ratcheting up the penalties. And he’s lucky Judge Chutkan put her gag order on hold pending appeal in his federal case because he just violated that one by attacking Mark Meadows as a witness.
It’s time to up the penalties. Put him in jail for a night next time, I say. He needs to get used to being there anyway.
So many Republicans complained that the Democrats were responsible for the Republican failure to elect a speaker of the House following Kevin McCarthy’s removal. Presumably, this was because not one Democrat voted for any of the Republican nominees. Now that the Republicans have nominated and elected Louisiana Representative Johnson to be the next House Speaker — with 220 Republican votes and every Democrat voting against — do the Democrats get credit for Johnson’s election as House Speaker?
I find it hard to condemn Israel’s preparations against Gaza. News reports focus on Palestinian voices in Gaza decrying Israel’s counteroffensive on humanitarian grounds but no one’s condemning the brutal slaughter of Israelis by Hamas. That slaughter was committed by the brothers, sons, fathers, uncles, and neighbors of the same people now seeking global condemnation of Israel. Why didn’t they condemn Hamas’s preparations for Saturday’s brutal assault on innocent Israeli civilians and children?
I see a lot of articles along these lines. “The Kamala Harris Question.” “The Challenge for Kamala Harris.” And so on. I just don’t remember similar articles about other VPs. “The Dan Quayle Question.” “The Challenge for VP Biden.” Vice Presidents are there to support the president and largely don’t have much else official to do. But the media and the public are holding Harris to a higher standard. Hmmm. I wonder why?
