Honestly, folks... You don't need to platform every horrific, vicious, infantile thing the president of the United States says.

Instead, boost the voices of the people he's saying them about. Ignore the angry-toddler tantrums unless they have policy implications.

Woohoo!

I'm quoted in today's NY Times piece about the 50th anniversary of the gay couple on the 1970s-80s sitcom BARNEY MILLER: Darryl and Marty.

In the days after Charlie Kirk's death, half the internet sounds like that awful guy at the office who keeps going up to women coworkers and saying, "What are you talking about? Bob's a great guy! *I've* never heard him harass anyone!"

Nobody "looks Hispanic." (I fit the legal definition of "Hispanic" and I'm a pasty-faced white guy.) No. If you're rounding up and imprisoning people who "look Hispanic," what you're really doing is targeting folks who look like the indigenous peoples of the Americas.

What's really going on is white leaders are ordering indigenous Americans to be rounded up and put in prison camps, to punish them for being on the wrong side of lines that white people drew on the ground. It's the same racist war that's been going on for centuries.

Remember that idea during COVID of having a pod? A group of people with shared strategies for getting through it that took care of each other?

That's how we get through this, too. Find your pod. Stick together. Help each other. We are all going to need it.

A big fuck you to everyone who said Project 2025 isn’t real and we’re overreacting.
All I can say about US Republicans is they better hope the Christians are wrong and that there's no such things as hell. 🔥 😠
