Lachenal English concertina. Brilliant instruments invented by Charles Wheatstone, Victorian inventor. English concertinas are very rational for sight reading, utterly deranged to learn by ear, which I half assed did. Notes in a diatonic scale are played across both ends and between the index and middle fingers in the least intuitive way possible. More than 100 years old, and playing great. Ergonomically, the dumbest instrument. I never got good, but can play what I can hum, in C.
