Steve in VenturaNever seen a squirrel in this position before. It’s like it was trying to cool itself by putting its belly in contact with the shady side of our oak trees truck, but it’s only 77 degrees F at the moment outside.
I’ve used the Signal App almost daily for quite a few years now. I started using it at the request of ‘pen pals’ in other countries years before Twitter was sold. They wanted the security for international texting to distance places like Japan, Germany and the UK. I appreciate also having the same security during confidential discussions with family members. As an iPad user I also find that it makes things easier than texting people who use android texting. Of course there is also the issues mentioned in the post below.

I thought it was interesting that Americans work more hours per year than in a lot of other countries.
Ventura police have updated their estimate of the people at yesterdays No Kings protest to 5,500
Police estimated the Ventura No Kings protest crowd at about 3,000 participants. My wife was there over 4 hours and tempted to go back.

My wife took at break from the No Kings protest to change into some cooler clothes. She said there might be twice as many people there as last time and traffic in the area of the county center is badly snarled. The county supervisor spoke and they are expecting a congressional representative.
