-c- Clark couldn’t help but laugh to himself. It’s a miracle his secret didn’t get exposed right there. Somehow Lana was convinced she had imagined the whole thing. As he got closer to town, more memories came back to him. A school bus passed him, the cheers of the students inside bringing Clark back to his football days. He was the star athlete, but looking back it was hardly fair.

He finally made it to town, his smile only growing even more. Smallville never changes. The sights, the -c-

Clark landed softly on the outskirts of Smallville, quickly changing into his civilian attire. As he began walking along the path towards the town, his mind was flooded with memories and feelings of the past.

He walks past Ben Hubbard’s farm. A memory unlocked. He’s playing hide and seek with Lana. She somehow didn’t realize she was in the path of a thresher. Clark moved faster than he knew he could at the time, and the blades broke on his body.
