A pile of opinions and pop culture references in the vague shape of a person.

Also, I wrote a book! It has airships, pirates, addiction, existential crises, and, most of all, hope. Out for queries now!

Things my writer brain says that a normal person's doesn't, part 1:

"Man, I missed that murderous little psychopath."

Quoth the Raven, "Cold kickin' it liiiiiiiiive!!"
"We provide...Leverage."

If I can get one more query out, I'll have reached my goal of 20. I just have to keep reminding myself that, once the book is in the world, this is no longer about me. It's about everyone else who might feel seen by these characters and validated by this story.

(...Or who just loves sky pirates and swashing their buckles. Y'all are cool, too.)

Prestige TV has spoiled us. We've forgotten that sometimes a show just has bad episodes. Sometimes a whole bad season! Back in my day, we watched twenty mediocre episodes for one good one and we LIKED IT! 👴

Especially #StarWars. It's *never* been prestige. You know how many terrible Clones Wars episodes there are? How many cheesy Rebels episodes? Be glad we got Andor, but don't celebrate that The Acolyte got cancelled. The Acolyte isn't any worse than AOTC and I will die on that hill.

(TW: Violence)

Inej: Gets stabbed.

Kaz: *Rips the stabber's eye out with his bare fucking hand*

Also Kaz: I think I may have feelings for Inej.

God, I love YA.

Second half of #TheAcolyte -- Honestly, pretty good. I feel like it would've made a better movie than a TV show, though. They could've taken the events of episode three (the first flashback) and made it the first act, then those last four episodes could've been acts two and three.

It would've held together better. Still, the fandom's reaction was, as usual, overblown.

I rewatched Solo last night, and I gotta say: way better than I remember. Is it perfect? No. Is it fun as hell? Absolutely.

This fandom really needs to take itself less seriously sometimes. We'd all enjoy ourselves so much more.

#HarrowtheNinth gave me a headache.

Five stars, two ibuprofen, and one of the best uses of POV I've ever seen.
