V* T Corona Borealis (the Blaze Star) has yet to go nova. It continues to silently simmer at 10th magnitude in the depths of space. I captured the accompanying images of the star and its surrounding starfield last night. The wide field view shows Epsilon CrB in the top center at magnitude +4.10 with the Blaze Star circled. For reference, in the second cropped image, the ring of stars to the left, range from +14.4 and +15.5 magnitude - with one if those objects being a faint distant galaxy.

What an amazing show and experience yesterday. This was the view from Fishers, Indiana. Skies weren't optimal but I'm still pleased with what I captured.
Hey humans...be safe. Please don't view the eclipse directly unless you have certified eclipse glasses. If you are in the path of totality, you must wear safe solar shades during the partial phases leading up to and after totality. A friendly PSA from your "deerest" friends. You can also watch my live stream here! emporia.link/eclipse
Comet 12P /Pons-Brooks was well down in the murky stuff tonight. 🤨

Snowblower? Naaaahhhh. I am the machine, and I'm running off high-octane antifreeze. Bring on more snow!
Looking at Sunspot AR3500, which has the potential to unleash X-class solar flares. The Sun's rotation will make any CME released more geo-effective. Unfortunately, we will have a bright moon for the next several days. I captured this image with a 3-inch refractor, Canon 60Da, and Baader Solar filter. #solarmaximum #sunspots
Why not! Playing in the snow after receiving 9 inches of the white stuff yesterday. #nevergrowingup #nevergrowold
