Sargassum seaweed has been viewed as a nuisance to Caribbean countries, washing up in large quantities on our shores, emitting a foul scent, affecting tourism and disrupting coastal eco-systems. Keen on innovation and determined to find solutions

The US was just implicated in #Genocide by proxy, and the Cable TV News channels are business as usual, MSNBC aint even mention it.

Clown shit. These are colonial propagandists who don't have their lines yet.

When the Paris Agreement was adopted in 2015, with its widely publicized and much-celebrated aim of limiting global warming to below 1.5C, many government delegates who made their pledges back then knew perfectly well that this goal was unrealistic, that it could not possibly be attained — NOT if our economies continued along the path of Business As Usual.

Which is exactly what has happened.

Now top climate scientists are stating in plain language that 1.5C is dead, and that it will take a massive unprecedented effort of international cooperation to prevent 2C or even 3C of global heating.

This is a crushing blow.

Kamal Kapadia, co-founder and Chief Learning Officer at Terra.do, a non-profit that teaches climate skills and is building new professional networks, writes about her experience in accepting the unpleasant reality of our situation.

Finally caught #COVID about a week and a half ago after nearly four years dodging it.

It was avoidable, but I got over-confident about my non-mask protections (which, to be fair, had worked so well for me in many high-risk settings), and went to a work dinner--so it wasn't even a worthwhile risk!

Today, my boss asked me how I was doing, and then said: "I guess your masks don't really work, huh? Time to stop masking up." 🤯

Unsurprisingly, he had no response to my answer: "well, this is my first infection ever, and I'm pretty sure it came from not wearing a mask at the dinner *you* hosted. If anything, this is a great reason and reminder for me to mask even more diligently."
