Yes. Baul is both the art and the artist. Originated from Bengal (parts of India and Bangladesh), these people who rejected the idea of an established religion which has its hierarchies, traditions, rituals and dogmas, they sought the divine through music, through madness and through being lost in the art.
But the definition of Art is 'the expression or application of human creative skill and imagination, typically in a visual form such as painting or sculpture, producing works to be appreciated primarily for their beauty or emotional power.'
Now the only part that bothers me is the 'imagination' part. Okay sports have nothing to do with imagination but there's heavy 'strategy' involved in it. And also arts is open to interpretation right? Thoughts?
