The road that Reddit management decided to take is a very interesting one. I am not sure why anyone would try to emulate Musk, nor why would anyone try to alienate their own users so hard.

I got the response from Twitter’s Data Protection Officer regarding my request to delete all of my data according to art 17 (aka European right to be forgotten).

In short, they don’t intend to comply and just copy pasted the “deactivation” text. As much as I am not a lawyer, I do work with implementation of gdpr requirements for last 4 years, and this invites the whole new level of pain to the bird site.

The whole Data Protection office, request via official contact in ToS etc is all, apparently, just bullshit. I am curious if this ever worked, or just never came out?
