I don't know if the construction of Section 3 will permit application to the president.

The point of S3 is requiring the elimination of announced enemies from govt.

That principle should be applied one way or another.

Why is it when white men are using the power they baked into the system for themselves does everyone pick some other collective noun for identification: e.g. lawmakers, bankers, CEO's, media moguls, fascists, military/industrial complex, etc?

@jaykuo

Our history is what's deeply entrenched in the GOP.

When white men instituted democracy for themselves, they continued autocracy for everyone else by ruling in King George's place -- making them the political descendants of a king.

It is that "democracy", belonging to those descendants, everyone else is trying to break into.

White male hysteria is the response.

“Trump was totally blindsided,” a source told NBC News. “It was a setup.”

Congressman Hakeem Jeffries (NY-8) has been unanimously elected leader of House Democrats, the first Black person to lead either party in either chamber.

A new chapter with new leadership.

Well done, Mr. Leader!

'Both sides' is a gimmick white men came up with to avoid blame, the bete noir of their masculinity.
It's"use turns on whether they find it helpful, not whether it's 'deserved".

@jayrosen_nyu @joshtpm

'Both sides' is a gimmick used to make assigning blame seem unreasonable/unnecessary.
With white men perpetually in charge of everything, they're in dire perpetual need of maneuvers to evade (otherwise naturally devolving) responsibility.

When white men instituted democracy for themselves, yet ruled over everyone else in King George's place, they became the political descendants of a king.

History has consequences.
This oligarchy is one of them.
