@brian_wolf unbelievably, you’re the first person who’s mentioned the book. I thought I’d reached the end of scifi streamiverse, then someone mentioned this show. No idea how I could’ve missed it! V late to the party!
Can we talk about The Leftovers? I found the first two seasons so disturbing, it haunted me almost 24/7, but I couldn’t stop watching. I was enthralled. And the last season made it all worth it—it was absolutely remarkable. I’m sure it’s perfect in some technical way I don’t have the skill set to pinpoint. And the cast—holy crap, the cast.
On the one hand, it was nice to light the community hanukkiah with neighbors on the first night of Hanukkah. Helps quell the rage/exhaustion/toddler-level fit I want to throw over todays NYT crossword I hold in the other.
