An audio good morning.
Oh wow. I’m sharing audio right from the voice memos app on my iPad. Way cool! Anyway, this is my personal voice directly from voice memos.
Here's a sample of my personal voice. No, it does not include an air conditioner. It's just hot in my office today. :P
Here's a song about not feeling seen. I bought this album for $20, after tax, in 2001. My family members used to throw me twenties or $25. And every time they did, I bought a CD. I asked for the latest Incubus album, not realizing that Make Yourself was no longer their latest release. But I fell in love with Morning View as a whole album. So did John, Ferry, RIP. We'd sit out on his cabin porch, it was Beaver cabin that year, while at summer camp and listen to Incubus for the entirety of our social hour, an hour that teenagers had allotted to them for socializing with other VI teens. You could go anywhere along 'cabin row' to see what other cabins were doing with that social time. I made some great friends that way. That's how Tamara and I got to know each other better. The door is open for her to contact me again someday. I miss my old female best friend. Anyway, this is Mexico, an acoustic studio track by Incubus.
Self care library track: Section: CD's I ripped. Subsection: songs John Ferry and I loved listening to together. Rest in peace, childhood best friend.
Self care library track: Section: CD's I ripped. Subsection: John Ferry. This song is sung by one of my favorite vocalists. His name is Brandon Boyd. The song is called I Miss You. It describes the feeling of wanting to see someone, hold them in your arms. It describes that feeling of getting reminders of your person and missing them from far away. It's innocent but heartfelt.
Iyana, The Gap Tangle, made my heart leap for joy the other day when I woke up to find a copy of Queen of the Damned waiting for me in Db. It's in 128, and you can hear the compression in these tracks. But, 128 is better than nothing, as we used to say back in 05. This song is one of my favorites. I especially love the countermelody toward the end. Also, if you have the bonus track version of this CD, as Iyana does, you get a rendition of Jonathan Davis singing this track. He does an excellent job performing this live, and the audience goes wild at his performance. And for those of you following my subpersonas/plurals, this is Talandra's theme song for the lower frequencies. It's 1 out of 4 in terms of my four top grounding tracks. For any of you not following my pluralism survival story, just know that it's a song that calms my anxiety when I'm feeling sad or frustrated. Self care library track: Section: Prissy and Iyana. Subsection: Grounding tracks. This song is called Slept So Long.
When I first heard this track, I had no idea it was a Snoop Dog song. If you know this track, it's pretty obvious this is a Snoop Dog cover. I was just, very young and didn't make the connection. Once I realized what it was, I just thought, this is weird. This is Gin and Juice, by My Gay Uncle. Section: Covers. Subsection: Andrew's punk and ska cover collection.
I thought this one was appropriate to post, given that everyone has Barbie on their mind. Looks like a couple of local girl friends of mine plan on watching that movie with me on Sunday. *sings in a punk voice* 'I'm a barbie girl, in a barbie world, life in plastic, it's fantastic.' Self care library track: Section: Covers. Subsection: Punk with Andrew. This is Barbie Girl, by Homegrown.
Holy moly! Not only did this file survive the purge. I managed to get it in 320. A rarity, given that the majority of my CD collection was built between 2005 and 2010, latest. I first heard this song my senior year of high school. Somebody played it during my Audio Tech class. I think he was trying to emulate the guitarring by ear. Self care library track: Section: Early internet tracks. Subsections: Songs you'd hear at our house. This is Cocaine, by Eric Clapton.
From our house to your ears: If you heard this song at our house and tried to guess who played it, you'd have a 1 in 3 chance in being correct. That is because my partner and I, and his best friend who is here every few days, all like this band. But long ago, it was Andrew who would blast this song so everyone could hear it. And that was fine by me. Self care library track: Section: Andrew's boom box collection. Subsection: favorite tracks, Songs you'd hear at our house. This is Californication.
