So I woke up today to an email from NYS Unemployment Services saying that my claim had been approved. Dope.
Unfortunately, if I had to guess I'm sure tens of thousands of people woke up to that same email, and so the state website is unavailable due to traffic.
Lucky for me, I received my limited education through an apprenticeship, so I'm in the habit of overpaying my taxes and saving for when I had to spend weeks on the dole. I'm taking this unemployment check and buying an AK-47.
